Thank you for being part of our NYOS Charter School community!  Your donation directly benefits our students by providing equipment, educational opportunities, and teacher development – we couldn’t do it without you!

NYOS Charter School – Not Your Ordinary School – is a non-profit, Title 1, open-enrollment, free public charter school in Austin, Texas.  Our school services over 1,010 students who come to us from 14 different school districts in the greater Austin Area.  NYOS receives approximately $1000 less funding per student than traditional public schools. This amounts to nearly one MILLION dollars less funding each year than a traditional public school would receive. Because we are dedicated to serving every student with an innovative approach (including small student-teacher ratios, hands-on study trips, service-learning and opportunities for civic engagement), we depend upon grants, donations, and fundraising activities supported by our community.

In past years the money raised from this event supported:

  • Accessible learning supplies
  • Outdoor School scholarships for 4th and 5th grade students
  • Physical Education equipment for elementary students
  • Project graduation
  • Professional development at High Reliability Schools Summit
  • Texas Teach Tomorrow Conference and Competition
  • Subsidized PSAT exams

As you can see, NYOS Charter School offers many diverse programs for its students, faculty, and staff.  Please consider sponsoring the 2019 NYOS “Hula Hustle” Fun Run & Walk.  The dedication of our teachers and staff, along with your support, will allow us to continue delivering excellent academic experiences for our diverse student population.

Thank you for being part of the NYOS community!
